On September 12, professional boxers Félix Meier and Gianni Passanante will be in action at the Turbensaal in Bellach, Solothurn. Meier continues his path towards the Swiss Championship with his 10th professional fight, while Passanante returns to the ring after a longer break.

The undefeated Félix Meier (9–0, 6 K.o.) will face Venezuelan Luis Enrique Romero (13–16–1, 9 K.o.), who lives in Spain, in a match scheduled for eight rounds. The 40-year-old brings the experience of 30 professional fights at an international level. Among others, he defeated the then-undefeated Jonathan Alonso in Spain and stopped Maxim Prodan early in Italy. Romero last stood in the ring over ten rounds in Germany on August 22. For Meier, the fight in Bellach is the next step on the way to the Swiss Championship against Alfred Kqira on Boxing Day in Bern.
For Gianni Passanante (2–0–1, 1 K.o.), Bellach marks the return after an almost nine-month competition break. In April, the 23-year-old from Chur had to forgo his planned appearance due to an eardrum injury; later, another fight in Germany was canceled. Now Passanante will face Serbian Ognjen Mitrovic (2–2–1) over six rounds.
The boxing event in the Turbensaal is organized by the Box Club Solothurn.
