Christophe Mouafo grew up in Biel, Switzerland, with family roots in Cameroon. He lives in Biel with his Brazilian partner and their two young children. Mouafo started boxing relatively late – at 26 years old, after a youth spent on the football pitch. He had to work hard to build a solid technical foundation. What he lacks in experience, he compensates with physical strength, determination, and relentless effort.
Mouafo is different. He is not a people-pleaser. His style is striking: tattoos, cornrows, loose-fitting clothing, and sunglasses. Off the ring, he is easygoing and cool, but in the ring, he transforms into “The Ruthless”. Accompanied by live rap, he enters the ring with a muscular physique and focused gaze, where nothing else matters but the knockout – then the machine takes over.
He is supported by a team of loyal friends, as trust matters more to him than credentials. In September 2024, Mouafo won the WBO Global Title in Bern, entering the world rankings. Lacking local recognition, he pursued opportunities abroad, where he fights irregularly but in major international events.
Mouafo works 80% of the time for a major watch manufacturer, balancing professional life with family and boxing. He fights almost without external support – no sponsors, little crowd recognition – making his journey all the more challenging and inspiring.
